Wantagh-Seaford Crime Report: DWI Arrests and Vandalism

Aug. 20 to Aug. 27.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On August 23, a 23-year-old Plainview man was arrested on the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway  and charged with DWI and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, police said. 

On Aug. 26, a 62-year-old Wantagh man was arrested on Willow Street in Wantagh and charged with DWI and Aggravated DWI, police said.


Petty Larceny

On Aug. a boat was reported to be damaged at the Wantagh Park Marina, police said. The incident accured between 7 p.m. the previous night and 12:15 a.m.

Criminal Mischief

A car was damaged on Narragansett Avenue in Wantagh sometime between 10 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, police said. A vandal threw a rock through its rear windshield, according to cops.

Vehicle Violation

On Aug. 23, a Levittown man was arrested near the intersection of Merrick Road and Neptune Avenue and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and five violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
