11-Story Mixed-Use Building Planned For West Village Parking Lot
Permits were just filed with the city for a 105,804 square-foot building to replace a parking lot at 134 Jane Street. Here's what to know.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A major new building looks to be on its way to the West Village. Permits were recently filed with the Department of Buildings for an 11-story mixed-use building at 134 Jane Street.
The proposed building plan with the city calls for a 120-foot-tall development, which would include 15 residential units and 200 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor.
According to New York Yimby, the development will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long yard at the back of the building, and 20 enclosed parking spaces.

The incoming West Village development owner is Aurora Capital Associates, a real estate investment firm that is also one of the developers at the nearby 70-74 Gansevoort Street building.
Aurora Capital has been active in recent months — including partnering with a hedge fund to complete the most expensive Manhattan retail trade since the start of the pandemic — a $190 million deal for a massive retail condo building on Fifth Avenue, The Real Deal reported.
