The building itself is steeped in history.

Constructed in 1930 by the legendary Bing and Bing brothers, and constructed by famous architect Emery Roth — it is one of just two projects collaborated on between the team in Lower Manhattan.

A variety of celebrities have lived in the building over the decades, and it was converted into a condominium in 1986.

The current owners and sellers of the penthouse are Democratic Party organizers Willard Taylor and Virginia Davies, according to the New York Post.

The pair has owned the unit for the last 36 years, a listing reads.

Cohen has recently gotten more active in West Village politics.

He took to Twitter in June to issue a strong statement about voting Assembly Member Deborah Glick, who has represented Lower Manhattan in the position for over 30 years, out of office.

Glick ended up winning the primary.
