Annie Leibovitz Snaps Up West Village Condo For $6.5 Million
The famed photographer previously sold her three-townhouse spread in the West Village in 2014 for $28.5 million.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz just bought a West Village condo for $6.5 million, records show.
The full-floor unit within 495 West St. comes with six rooms, two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, 64 feet of continuous windows, an elevator entrance, views of the Hudson River, and more, according to a list for the home.
"The entire loft exudes a sense of calm and stillness enhanced by the meditative effects of the ever-changing Hudson River with its magical sunsets and the twinkling lights of the New Jersey shoreline in the distance," reads the listing.

Records show that the condo was first listed for $8.5 million in 2019, before getting re-listed for $7 million in January, and then being snapped up by Leibovitz for $500,000 below its asking price.
The building was constructed in 1998.

Leibovitz is not a newcomer to the West Village, as she told her townhouse at the corner of Greenwich and West 11th streets for $28.5 million in 2014.
Leibovitz is best known for celebrity portraits, which include famous photos of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Demi Moore, and Mick Jagger. Her work has been published in Rolling Stone Magazine, Vanity Fair, and Vogue.
