WEST VILLAGE, NY — A residential project in the West Village appears to be moving forward, according to reports.

Work on the facades of both the old Keller Hotel, at 150 Barrow St., and a new, seven-story building next door, at 144 Barrow St., seems to have crept closer to completion, according to photos and reporting from New York YIMBY, and is still holding to a late 2023 opening date.

Once completed, the project designed by BKSK Architects will contain 24 condos consisting of a mix of units with one and four bedrooms, the real estate site says.

The facade of the former Keller Hotel has nearly finished restoration work and most of the tall windows in the new building have been installed, the article states.

While the old neon sign for the long-expired hotel remains, it won't be for long, as plans call for its removal, according to the site.
