Chipotle Founder Flips West Village Home For Millions: Report

Just eight months after Steve Ells bought 27 E. 11th St. for $29.5 million, he's selling it for $35 million, reported the NY Post.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Steve Ells is all about speed. Fast food Mexican cuisine and flipping luxury West Village townhouses in less than a year for millions.

The Chipotle founder just sold his West Village pad at 27 E. 11th St. for $35 million, which is just eight months after he bought the property for $29.5 million, reported the New York Post.

It means Ells made a profit of around $5 million.

The 27 East 11th Street townhouse has five stories, 18 rooms, seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, four fireplaces, a private elevator, a roof garden, and more, according to a listing.

There are also two terraces and skylights.

Ells didn't even buy the townhouse in the first place to serve as his primary home, but instead as a crash pad to wait out construction at his nearby mega-mansion.

In 2021, a storm revealed flaws with the bricks of his megamansion that could add years to the construction, which prompted him to buy the 27 E. 11th St. home.
