WEST VILLAGE, NY — The 1990s are back, all thanks to a recently-listed 1820s townhouse that served for four years as the so-called "love nest" for Johnny Depp and Kate Moss.

Travel back in time with 112 Waverly Pl., a Federal-style brick townhouse built in 1826, spans over 6,300 square-feet and includes nearly 1,200 square-feet of outdoor space.

But the real gem is the private, 1,800-square-foot two-bathroom triplex back carriage house — the site of the Depp and Moss "love nest" from 1994 to 1998.

With a private entrance, the carriage house features huge 17-foot beamed ceilings with a massive skylight, a wood burning fireplace, loads of exposed brick, a copper ceiling in the open kitchen and an outdoor terrace, the listing says.

About 90 years before the supermodel and actor took their first steps inside what would be their home for four years, the carriage house was home to the Little Theatre, reports the New York Post.

The Waverly Place complex has been a longtime home of artists in the West Village — including actors James Spader and Fisher Stevens, the painter Everett Shinn and playwright Lorraine Hansberry, author of "A Raisin in the Sun" and the first black playwright to make it to Broadway, according to the New York Post.

Currently, the townhouse is configured as four income-producing rentals, two of which are duplexes. All the units contain large windows, private outdoor space and wood-burning fireplaces, writes listing agency Corcoran.

StreetEasy listings show that the units had been listed recently for rents between $10,000 to $18,000 per month.

Back in 2018, 6sqft.com first noticed that the Moss/Depp love nest was available to rent for $21,500 per month.
