Martha Stewart Out $22M In West Vil Condo Sale: Report
The home-decor queen took a major bath on this condo deal, but maybe it's a good thing.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Martha Stewart didn't design this deal well.
The home-design maven, felon and Sports Illustrated cover girl recently sold an apartment occupied by her daughter in the West Village for a 42 percent price cut, according to Crain's New York Business.
Stewart first purchased the 9,500-square-foot, six bedroom triplex apartment inside the Richard Meier designed 165 Charles St. in 2019 for her daughter, Alexis Stewart, the magazine reported.

Bought for $53 million, Stewart was forced to make a trade at a paltry $31 million.
And actually, that might not be a bad thing, according to Crain's.

The Stewart's per-square-foot average sale price of $3,300 is actually much higher than the current average of $2,800 per-square-foot most luxury properties are selling for these days, reports the magazine.
