New Age Real Estate Firm Buys Entire West Village Block: Report
A real estate firm known for modernizing properties recently bought 11 buildings on Patchin Place, a quiet block off West 10th Street.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — It is not so often that an entire street gets bought in the West Village, but that is exactly what happened recently with Firebird Grove's purchase of Patchin Place, reports The Real Deal.
The real estate investment firm bought 11 buildings on the quiet block just off West 10th Street earlier in March for a little over $32 million, reported The Real Deal.
It's a street name that even Lower Manhattanites might not recognize, but it is inhabited by three-story townhouses, commercial establishments, and served as the former home to E.E. Cummings and Marlon Brando.

The New York Times reports that Patchin Place is one of the city's last remaining blocks lit by a 19th-century gas streetlight.
Firebird Grove, which bought the street from Morgan Holding Capital, calls itself a "next-generation real estate investment group that buys, modernizes, and operates medium to large scale assets."
It is unclear what exactly Firebird Grove plans to do with the street.
