  1. A Riverhead man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car into a house in Flanders, killing a 36-year-old passenger on Friday. Santiago Monzon-Archila, 40, was charged and the victim was identified as Noe Hernandez-Nunez of Riverside. (Dan's Papers)
  2. Two people were arrested for trying to fill a high-priced narcotics prescription and then leading police on a pursuit from Southampton to Hampton Bays on Thursday. Malik Fludd, 28, of Jamaica was arrested in Hampton Bays along with Naomi Sweeting, 22, of Brooklyn. (Patch)
  3. East End airports are getting federal funding as part of the Infrastructure Act. Brookhaven Calebro Airport in Shirley got $295,000 and East Hampton Airport in Wainscott and Francis S. Gabreski in Westhampton Beach each received $295,000. Elizabeth Field on Fishers Island got $110,000. (Long Island Press)
  4. Suffolk County's seven-day coronavirus positivity rate hit 13.6 percent this week, Executive Steve Bellone said on Tuesday. The omicron variant is driving the highest rates since early in the pandemic, triggering long lines at COVID-19 testing sites. (Patch)
