Woman Charged With DWI After Hampton Bays Crash: Police

She fled the scene but was located and arrested, police say.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Flanders woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a Hampton Bays crash on Independence Day, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, at about 7:38 p.m., Lorraine Faulhaber, 55, was involved in the crash on Montauk Highway and left the scene without reporting the incident.

She was located a short time later and found to be intoxicated, then brought to police headquarters, where she was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
