3 Arrested In Suffolk Massage Parlor Raid: Police
The raid, undertaken by the 3rd Precinct and the Town of Islip, was prompted by community quality-of-life complaints, cops say.
WEST ISLIP, NY — Three women were charged with the unlawful practice of a profession during a raid at Oxygen Foot Spa on Higbie Lane in West Islip on Friday, Suffolk police said.
The trio, including two Flushing women, a 51-year-old and a 47-year-old, as well as a 49-year-old from Amityville, were charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony. The 49 from Amityville was additionally charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor, according to police.
A phone number associated with the spa was not working on Saturday morning.

The investigation was undertaken by the 3rd Precinct's Crime Section, Community Response Unit, and detectives, in conjunction with the Town of Islip's Fire Marshal, at around 4:30 p.m., police said.
It was prompted by quality-of-life complaints from the community, according to police.
