Chris Wilson to Host Blood Drive/Fundraiser

Will take place on Saturday, March 3.

You might remember back in October when that Christopher Wilson, a 16-year-old West Islip student, suffered serious injuries as a result of being struck by car on the way to school (the story drew dozens of comments of support and concern).

Wilson ended up needing seven pints of blood in order to save one of his legs. He's still recuperating from the accident.

In an effort to give back to the community, he'll be hosting a blood drive/fundraiser on Saturday, March 3 at The Babylon Masonic Lodge (250 West Main Street, Babylon).

The event will run from from noon-6 p.m. and will include raffles, door prizes, buffet and music entertainment. The goal of the blood drive is to collect over 200 pints.

If you're unable to donate blood, donations of $20, which will be given to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, can be made.
