Three years ago, West Islip native Jen Corey stood on the Miss America stage in Las Vegas as Miss District of Columbia and finished in the top-10 Recently, Corey, who now resides in Washington, D.C., offered her thoughts on being a Miss America contestant in the Quora blog that appears on <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/quora/what-is-it-like-to-compet_b_3537289.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Huffington Post</a>. "It's the most amazing experience any girl could imagine," she wrote. "Your year as Miss [insert state] is only in part about competing at Miss America.
