Don't Miss: West Islip Fire Deparment Community Blood Drive

Community Members can donate blood at the firehouse Tuesday afternoon.

The West Islip Fire Department is holding a blood drive this afternoon, at the department's headquarters on Union Boulevard.

From 2:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., community members can come in and donate blood. All participants who donate will receive a fleec scarf and a pair of gloves, courtesy of New York Blood Center.

According to organizers, one individual's donation can save up to three lives. So while you're wrapping up your holiday shopping list, don't forget to give this gift as well.
