Good Sam Announces New Caregiver Program

Registration is open for six-week course.

Good Samaritan Hospital has announced its new “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” program, set to begin the first week of March. 

The six-week course will meet on Wednesdays from March 7 to April 11, from 6-8:30 pm in the hospital’s Patio Café conference room. 

The hospital said their new series will gives caregivers the skills and confidence to better manage their own well-being, while assisting loved ones.

Among the helpful lessons attendees will learn include:

  • How to reduce stress
  • Improve self-confidence
  • Better communicate feelings and locate helpful resources
  • Increase their ability to make tough decisions
  • Balance their lives.

A $25 donation is suggested to help defray the cost of The Caregiver Helpbook but is not required to attend class.  Please call Good Samaritan’s Pastoral Care Department at (631) 376-4444 for more information and to register.
