The WI Library is hosting a chess workshop presented by the LI Chess Nuts.  Students in grades 1-6 can test their skills against a variety of experienced players (5-6 p.m., $20 for four classes).  Bariatric Surgery Support Group: Information and support for patients pre- and post-surgery.  Meeting takes place at Good Samaritan hospital's Patio Café (2 p.m.). Today begins two-nights of one-act plays at WIHS.  Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. inside the auditorium.  REMINDER: ; pick the score of the New York-Green Bay football game on Sunday and potentially win a $50 gift card.   There's a new nail salon coming soon to West Islip.  Check back later for details.
