West Islip's defense of its Suffolk County Class A title started Tuesday with a 9-3 win over Northport at West Islip High School. Jon Reese had three goals and Anthony DeLuca had a goal and three assists. Goaltender Jack Kelly was again strong in net with 10 saves.  The Lions move on to the semi-finals Friday when they will play Sachem North at home.
