Local Gas Guide: Where to Fill 'Er Up

Good news for gas-guzzling automobile drivers in West Islip: fuel prices have dropped 10 cents in the last week, according to LongIslandGasPrices.com.

Last Monday, Patch reported that Delta, Valero and Walson were offering regular at $3.79 per gallon.  This week, Delta is at $3.68.  Gas Stop and Valero come in a close second at $3.69 per gallon. 

Even the Long Island average has dropped considerably in seven days.  It's now being reported at $3.82, down 8 cents. 

If West Islip residents are really looking for a deal, they should head next door to Bay Shore, where the Empire and Gas Stop stations have regular for a LI low of $3.35.
