On Tuesday, the held their 17th Annual Clam Shucking Contest and fundraiser at Surf's Out Restaurant on Fire Island.

president of the WIBCC, said it's their biggest event of the year and collects more than 50 percent of their annual fundraising dollars.

"It keeps growing every year," Campise said.  "We sold out tickets almost instantly. 

"All the gifts were 100 percent donated, and that’s because we give 100 percent back to the woman we help. If it wasn’t for these people, we wouldn’t be in business."
