Eddie Plompen, star attackman for C.W. Post and former West Islip High School standout, was voted preseason East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year, the conference has announced. Plompen, now a senior, ranked sixth nationally in points (72) and was chosen to the ECC First Team last season.  He led Post in goals (54) and assists (18) in 2011.  He'll look to lead the Pioneers (ranked No. 2 in ECC preseason polls) to their first national title since they won back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010.
