The site, run by the state health department, is first-come, first-served, with no appointments needed. It will be open 7 days a week.
WEST ISLIP, NY — The New York State Department of Health opened a mobile COVID-19 test site outside of Catholic Health's Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
The site opened on Wednesday, town officials wrote on Facebook. It's located outside the hospital (100 Montauk Hwy., West Islip) and is first-come, first-served, with no appointments necessary.
Good Samaritan employees and community members can take rapid tests at the site (with results back in 24-48 hours), and those who are asymptomatic can take a PCR test.
