On Tuesday, voters in West Islip will head to the polls to decide on a change to the school district's for students at the middle school and high school levels. In an effort to save $500,000 in the 2012-13 school budget, the board of education is seeking voter approval to extend the busing limits from one mile to one-and-a-half miles for middle school students and from one-and-a-half miles to two miles for high school students. Residents will be able to vote Tuesday at the high school from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Before voters head to the polls, West Islip Patch wants to know where you stand on the issue.
