Talk Back: Busing Mileage Referendum
With the vote scheduled for Tuesday at the high school, Patch wants your thoughts on the issue.

On Tuesday, voters in West Islip will head to the polls to decide on a change to the school district’s for students at the middle school and high school levels.
In an effort to save $500,000 in the 2012-13 school budget, the board of education is seeking voter approval to extend the busing limits from one mile to one-and-a-half miles for middle school students and from one-and-a-half miles to two miles for high school students.
Residents will be able to vote Tuesday at the high school from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
