West Islip Islip native TJ Sarcona was recently recognized by the North American Hockey League as one of their <a href="http://www.nahl.com/news/story.cfm?id=4325" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Three Stars of the Week</a> for the week ending January 8, the league announced. Sarcona, 19, a 2010 graduate of West Islip High School, is currently a forward for the Amarillo Bulls.  Last week, he was honored for his six point performance (four goals, two assists) in a 10-3 victory over Corpus Christi.   It's Sarcona's second year with the team and he's helped them reach the top of the standings in the NAHL.  He's currently second on his team in total points (36) and third in goals (15).   The NAHL is a USA Junior-A sanctioned league, comprised of 28 teams that helps develop younger players to prepare them for the collegiate and professional levels.
