School budget season is right around the corner, and the district is looking to form a Budget Advisory Committee for the 2013-2014 school budget. All residents within the West Islip school District are eligible to apply. Board of Education Trustees George Smith and Ron Maginniss will serve as chairs of the committee, along with Wendy Duffy, Assistant Superintendent of Business. Meetings will be held during the evening on weekdays, starting on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Beach Street. All budget meetings are open to the public.
