West Islip Student-Artists Selected For Museum Exhibit

Their pieces will be featured in the Long Island Museum next month.

WEST ISLIP, NY — Two West Islip middle schoolers will be soon be recognized for their artistic talents for all of Long Island.

Amanda Guimaraes and Matthew Mushorn of Beach Street Middle School recently had their paintings selected for the Long Island Museum’s Colors of Long Island Student Art Exhibit in Stony Brook.

The exhibit will run from Feb. 17 through April 8, Thursday through Sunday, from 12 to 5 p.m.
