West Islip Student Jazz Musician Selected For Prestigious Ensemble

The group includes only 17 of the "best jazz musicians" in the Suffolk County, the district says.

WEST ISLIP, NY — A West Islip student-musician is being recognized for his musical talents.

West Islip High School junior Thomas Kerrigan was recently selected to perform with the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association All-County Jazz Ensemble.

This "prestigious" group includes only 17 of the "best jazz musicians" in the Suffolk County, the district said.
