Dan McShane won his second Jeopardy! title on Monday night.

Dan McShane is kicking Jeopardy! butt and taking names.

The West Islip native is quickly becoming a local legend and is now a two-time Jeopardy! champion after his win on Monday night.

According to Jeanie Kenkel, author of The Jeopardy! Fan Blog, McShane's run began last Friday night when he took down 6-time defending champion Dave Leach in dominant fashion. He earned himself a cool $18,801 in the process.

McShane, a 2009 Johns Hopkins grad and game logger for MLB Productions, continued his stellar play on Monday night where he edged two other contestants, this time winning $5,599 for a two-day total of $24,400.

"Well it's noteworthy that he defeated a "superchamp" (a champion with six or more wins), and one that defeated a superchamp in Jason Keller!" Kenkel said.  "There aren't many superchamps - I believe there are 18 now.  Some such giant-killers have only won one episode, like the women that defeated Ken Jennings and David Madden, so it's good that Dan's won two so far."
