Police ID Woman Killed In West Islip House Fire
A firefighter also suffered minor injuries while battling the blaze Friday morning.

WEST ISLIP, NY – A woman was killed in a fire at a West Islip home Friday morning.
Third Precinct officers responded to a home located at 861 Udall Road after a 911 caller reported a fire at about 10:25 a.m. After firefighters extinguished the fire, the body of Suzanne Minervini, 61, a resident of the home, was found inside.
The West Islip and Bay Shore fire departments and North Babylon Fire Company Ambulance and Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance responded. A West Islip firefighter suffered minor injuries.

A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
