2 City Men Arrested Along Sprain Parkway in Yonkers

The following arrest information was provided by the New York State Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

An unsafe lane change on the Sprain Parkway Saturday early Saturday morning led to arrests for driving while intoxicated and cocaine possession, police say.

New York State Police made the traffic stop in Yonkers at about 3:38 a.m. Police say the 32-year-old driver, who is from White Plains, appeared drunk. The man's blood-alcohol level was determined to be .12 percent—the legal limit to drive in New York state is .08—and he was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

A routine check of the vehicle yielded .03 grams of cocaine. Police charged both the driver and a 24-year-old passenger, who is also from White Plains, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
