2 HV Hospitals Earn 5-Star Ratings From Medicare

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Two hospitals and medical centers were given 5-star ratings — the best possible — according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

They are among 483 hospitals nationwide to receive the coveted CMS 5-star rating based on their performance across five categories measuring quality of care.

The agency’s Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings for 2023 include 54 more 5-star hospitals than last year.

The following Hudson Valley hospitals received the top ratings:

• St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick
• White Plains Hospital Center, White Plains

The Medicare star rating system takes into account information from hospitals on mortality, safety of care, readmissions, patient experiences, and the timeliness and effectiveness of care.
