59-Year-Old Woman Mugged on City Bench
The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A woman sitting on a bench near the corner of Bank St. and Martine Ave. had her pocketbook stolen Monday afternoon by a man in his late 20s.
The woman said the man, described as about 5'7", 180 pounds, Spanish, with long curly black hair and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, sat on a bench near her at about 8:35 a.m. The woman said the man the approached her and pulled her pocketbook from her shoulder and said "give it to me".
When the pocketbook fell to the ground, she said the man placed it in a plastic shopping bag and took off.

The woman called 911, but police were unable to locate the mugger.
The woman said he bag contained $42 cash, lipstick and medications.
