Digital books, tutoring, DVDs and job search assistance—all for free at the White Plains Public Library.
Did you know you could download digital books for your iPhone or NOOK at home, or get a tutor for you child for free at the White Plains Public Library? All of this and more is available through the White Plains Library to those registered with the Westchester Library System.
Director Sandra Miranda gave the White Plains Neighborhood Council of Associations the rundown on all that the library has to offer at their meeting Monday.
The White Plains Public Library is not just a place to take out books. The library fast to keep up with new technology and offers something for every generation.

There are 30,000 residents who have White Plains Library cards, and 600,000 people who visit the site each year. More than 2,000 items are checked in-and-out of the library each day.
In addition to checking out a book from the library’s vast collection—you can check out CDs, DVDs, audio and digital books all for free. You can use the library’s free wi-fi, to search for a job or get help from a free online certified tutor. You can also study for civil service tests, other tests like the SAT, learn job skills or get information on citizenship.
