Pace Plants for the Earth

From press release:

In honor of Earth Day, Pace Law School and the City of White Plains on Friday worked together to beautify a stretch of North Broadway in front of the law school campus.

Together, city officials and Pace Law School students, faculty and staff planted three cherry trees and installed a bench for the enjoyment of the many White Plains residents and visitors who walk along the pathway each day.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Thomas Roach said, “One of the most important relationships is between an institution and the city in which it is located. Pace and the City of White Plains have always had a great partnership and as new mayor, I am looking forward to working with Pace in the future.”

Judith Weinstock, director of the Pace Environmental Law Programs, commented, “We are pleased to be able to contribute to the local community by enhancing the aesthetic qualities of our city while also educating the public about the important role that trees play in mitigating the harmful impacts of carbon emissions and global warming.”
