Police Unity Tour Fundraiser Thursday in White Plains

The White Plains Police Department is hosting a Police Unity Tour fundraiser Thursday evening at on Mamaroneck Avenue.

The Police Unity Tour begins each year on May 9 with a memorial ceremony at the World Trade Center. The tour is a 300 mile four-day cycling event with more than 1,200 riders.

It was founded to raise awareness of the law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum.

Locally, the White Plains fundraiser includes raffles, prizes, food an open bar and 50/50. Cost is $50 per-person.

The event begins at 7 p.m.
