Reader Post: Dr. Judith Johnston Appointed Principal of Good Counsel Academy Elementary

Dr. Judith Johnston has been appointed Principal of Good 
Counsel Academy Elementary in White Plains, New York 
to continue the tradition of educating successful students.

Dr. Judith Johnston brings years of educational excellence and experience to Good Counsel Academy. Before accepting the position of Principal at Good Counsel Academy, Dr. Johnston completed her nineteenth year as Principal of St. Joseph Elementary School in Placentia, California. 

Judith has ministered in Catholic education since the 1970’s. Her positions included Educator at Holy Name of Jesus School, Valhalla, NY; John F. Kennedy High School, Somers, NY; St. Angela Merici School, Brea, CA; Valencia High School, Placentia, CA and as Director of Development for the Sisters of the Divine Compassion in White Plains, NY. 

In 2005, Dr. Johnston received her Doctor of Psychology degree from Trinity College of Graduate Studies in Anaheim, CA and in 2003, she completed her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Johnston’s prior degrees include a Master of Arts in Theology from Fordham University, Bronx, NY and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and English from the College of White Plains, NY (Good Counsel College). 

Dr. Johnston has worked extensively with teams for youth and adult retreats and as a spiritual director. We welcome Dr. Judith Johnston back East and know she will be a tremendous asset and leader for our school.
