Reader Post: Happy 60th Anniversary to Dina and Jesse Tiani

Dina and Jesse Tiani will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on September 9th

The couple was married on September 9, 1951, at Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Mount Kisco, NY.

 Dina Asaro Tiani was raised in Mount Kisco, NY the daughter of Concetta Angi Asaro and the late Richard Asaro.  Jesse Tiani was born and raised in New Canaan the son of the late Elizabeth Vitti Tiani and Charles Tiani.

They would become husband and wife after meeting at a Mount Kisco Maroons Football game against the New Canaan Redskins.

During the Koran War Jesse was in the Connecticut National Guard.  While being discharged from the National Guard at their final ceremony, Jesse was inducted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.

The couple married in 1951 and settled in Mount Kisco, NY. 

Jesse continued to work for the New Canaan Highway Department and is a 63 year member of the New Canaan Fire Company.  After changing careers Jesse became the owner of Jesse’s Deli in Yorktown Heights, NY.  The couple worked together until their retirement in 1998 and is now enjoying spending time with their family.

The couple raised 3 daughters – ElizabethTiani Bottinelli (Steve), Maria C. Tiani Marks (Billy), and Jessica J. Tiani Bambach (Andrew). 

They have eight grandchildren, Bernadette Finn, Melinda Potter, Veronica Wekerle, Stacey DiPasquale, Billy Marks, Jr., and Robin Marks, Anthony and Jesse Bambach.  They also have 5 beautiful great-grandchildren, Richie, Jason, and Kiera Finn, Emily and Mark Potter, Jr., and Alexander DiPasquale.

For their 60th anniversary they will be busy helping their grandson Billy who now owns Jesse’s Deli at the local Grange Fair.
