Westchester Glee Chorus Begins Fall Meetings

After a successful debut semester, the Westchester Glee Chorus kicks off the fall with informational meetings on Sept. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m.

Meetings will be held at in White Plains.  With more than 100 attendees at their premier concert on June 1, the Westchester Glee Chorus continues to recruit new members for its popular-music youth choir. Similar to the shows Glee and Sing Off!, members perform songs by Adele, Sara Bareilles, Stevie Wonder, Carrie Underwood, Natasha Bedingfield, Coldplay, Michael Buble and many other songs chosen by the students themselves.

Meetings, rehearsals, and final performances take place at Trinity Lutheran Church of White Plains, 430 North Street (corner of Bryant and North Streets), White Plains. The Westchester Glee Chorus will rehearse Mondays beginning Sept. 24th from 6 to 8 p.m. for 14 weeks and perform a final concert at Trinity. 

Directed by Norine Castine, current music director at Trinity Lutheran Church, teacher, composer and arranger in Manhattan, the Westchester Glee Chorus invites all singers in middle and high school to join—no previous choral experience necessary.

There will be opportunities for solos and small group arrangements, and Ms. Castine offers help in preparing for vocal NYSSMA solos as well. The entire community of Trinity Lutheran Church is pleased to offer their acoustically rich sanctuary to encourage this strong, new musical community.
