White Plains 2011 Oktoberfest

“Ompa-pa bands” will mean the start of the 3rd annual White Plains OktoberFest. 

The OktoberFest celebration will be held Sunday, Oct. 9 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will take place on Mamaroneck Avenue between East Post Road and Maple Avenue.

It will feature German beers, authentic German food and music. Once again, the band, Alpine Squeeze, will again supply the live music.

This event is presented in cooperation with the White Plains Business Improvement District (BID) and the City of White Plains.

Sponsoring the event are: Black Bear Saloon, Brazen Fox, Elements Food & Spirits, Hudson Grille, Lazy Boy Saloon & Ale House, Lazy Lounge, Party Line Rentals, Porter House, Ron Blacks, and Wicked Wolf Tavern.

Featured beers include: Beck’s, Sam Adams, Leinenkugel, Saranac, and Spaten Oktoberfest beers.

White Plains will also be sponsoring their Sidewalk Sales. Participating in the Sidewalk Sales are: American Terrain, Cressida Jewelers, Fair Deal Café, Fashion Town, First Choice Convenience, Metro PCS,  Westchester Apparel, Westchester Road Runner, and W.P. Fashion.  The sales take place from 10 am – 5 pm at various locations.
