Bronx Man Accused of Credit Card Fraud

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A Bronx man faces two misdemeanor charges after police say he was caught with a bundle of fake credit cards while trying to use one of them to buy shoes and electronics from a White Plains store.

The man, 24, was charged with ten counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and a single count of petit larceny after store security stopped him using one of the allegedly forged credit cards at Neiman Marcus on Feb. 24.

While trying to purchase an ipad case and pair of shoes valued at $490.94, store security was unable to run the man's credit card. Further investigation revealed that the number on the card wasn't valid and security called police.

Police later found that the man was carrying another nine credit cards and believe all of them were invalid or altered in some way.

Police took the man into custody and charged him.
