Bronx Teens Charged After Mam'k Ave. Altercation

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two Bronx 18-year-olds were charged with misdemeanors early Saturday morning after police say one fought with a police officer while the other distracted police during the skirmish.

Police were responding to a disturbance near the intersection of Mitchell Place and Mamaroneck Avenue at about 3:15 a.m. when, according to arrest reports, one of the teens yelled "police" and swung a closed fist at an officer.

The officer ducked the punch, police say, and struck the teen in the shoulder until he went to the ground. Police say the teen refused to be handcuffed, and had to be held down and restrained.
