Keeley Mitchell & The Burr Johnson Band delivers foot-tapping, head-boppin' jazz, pop and R&B favorites, as well as soul-stirring originals. This group of outstanding musicians leaves you wanting more!

Keeley Mitchell is a singer and songwriter from NY. She has been featured on jazz, R&B, and gospel albums as a lead and backup singer (Lenny White, Bobby Militello, Bryan Popin…). Her latest recording, Martha’s Vineyard Keeley, is currently on Spotify and other streaming platforms. A repeat Jazz Jam All-Star at Flushing Town Hall in Queens, she was recently interviewed by Neon Jazz. You can find Keeley performing with various outstanding musicians in the tri-state area, including the Kevin Blancq Big Band at Swing 46 in Times Square NYC, the Rockland Community College Contemporary Ensemble, and The Burr Johnson Band. 

Burr Johnson is an innovative guitarist whose powerful technique and artistic diversity have won wide recognition around the world. His dazzling repertoire is spiced liberally with flavors of jazz, rock and blues. Johnson has toured nationally with Jazz organist Jack McDuff, and can be heard with McDuff
on many radio broadcasts. He has performed with Ron Carter (from Miles Davis) and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, with legendary artists Ray Charles, B.B King, Buddy Guy, Spyro Gyra, John Abercrombie, Rick Derringer and Larry Coryell. The Burr Johnson Band, who performed repeatedly at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, has conduced many tours in the United States and Europe. Charlie Dougherty is an accomplished bassist, composer/arranger, and educator. His performance experience ranges from shows at many of the top jazz clubs in and around New York City to the North American premieres of several works by contemporary classical composers. His music has been performed internationally, and he can be seen on two nationally-syndicated television specials as the conductor and musical director of PJ Rasmussen and the Boardwalk Jazz Band. He served as assistant director of the William Paterson University Summer Jazz Camp for several years, and is currently a high school orchestra director. charliedougherty.com
