Angelica, the women’s chamber choir directed by Marie Caruso returns to Downtown Music. In addition to its holiday concert, this wonderful group offers an annual spring concert which, this year, explores music inspired by longing, beauty, and spiritual contemplation. The program features early American devotional songs rich in heartfelt simplicity, alongside selections from our Canadian neighbors, whose music draws from French and English traditions, indigenous influences, and folk roots. Together, these musical offerings reflect both individual and collective expressions of grief, hope, and transcendence.
