Child In Vehicle As CT Driver Arrested On Felony DWI Charge In Westchester County: NYSP
After being arrested on I-287, the Stamford man was found to have a BAC of 0.12 percent, according to New York State troopers.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A Connecticut man was arrested in Westchester County for potentially putting the life of a child at risk over the holiday weekend, according to state police.
New York State Police say that on Saturday, around 11:52 p.m., troopers from Tarrytown stopped a 2019 Toyota Highlander on I-287, in White Plains, for unsafely changing lanes.
While speaking with the driver, 47-year-old Oscar Alegria-Esteban, the troopers noticed signs of impairment, according to police. A standardized field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test were both positive for alcohol impairment, NYSP said.

In addition, open containers of alcohol were found inside the vehicle, according to state police.
Troopers say a child under the age of 16 was in the vehicle at the time.

Alegria-Esteban was arrested and taken to SP Tarrytown for processing, where he provided a breath sample with a BAC of .12 percent, according to police.
He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on highway, and vehicle/traffic violations.
Alegria-Esteban was released to a sober third party, and is scheduled to appear in White Plains City Court on October 23.
