280th Anniversary of George Washington's Birthday at the Purdy House

The White Plains Historical Society will host the 280th anniversary of George Washington's Birthday on Sunday, Feb. 19, at Washington's Headquarters, the Jacob Purdy House at 60 Park Avenue, White Plains, NY 10603, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

"First in War, First in Peace, First in the Hearts of his Countrymen," includes a flag raising ceremony; Revolutionary Color Guard; refreshments, entertainment, good company and is free to the public.

A special ceremony...Refreshments...And a talk given by His Excellency, (and former Purdy House tenant),General George Washington.
