Westchester Glee Chorus to Hold First Concert

The newly-formed youth choir, performs their premier concert on Friday, June 1st, 2012 at 7 p.m. at .

The nine-member chorus will sing numbers by Coldplay, Kelly Clarkston, Sara Bareilles, Adele, Carrie Underwood, Natasha Bedingfield and many other popular artists and Broadway composers.

The Westchester Glee Chorus has students from White Plains High School, North Salem High School, Highlands Middle School and Our Lady of Sorrows School singing together since the beginning of February.

They’ve prepared a mix of 24 solos, small group and 4-part choral settings of popular music, with a few classics thrown in. The singers will be accompanied by a four-piece band that includes students from Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, NY.

Directed by Norine Castine, the Westchester Glee Chorus invites all to their first concert at Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 North Street, White Plains, NY, on the corner of Bryant Avenue and North Street.

Suggested donations of $5 students/$10 adults will go towards student scholarships for theWestchester Glee Chorus.
