What: In honor of Wear Red Day, the Hospital’s nurses will participate in a number of activities to raise awareness about heart disease during Heart Disease Awareness Month.

  • Kissing Booth – Nurses will stage a “kissing booth” where donations to the Go Red for Women Campaign will be rewarded with a dark chocolate kiss
  • Color Me Red – Red hair extensions will be sold for $10, with funds benefitting heart disease awareness
  • Heart Disease Education – A heart health fair will be open to all people in the hospital, with screenings, information and heart healthy tips
  • Life Saving Technology – Information will be available about the state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory to help save heart attack patients. The Hospital’s cath lab began performing emergency angioplasty two years ago this month
