Family Fun Day at the YWCA of White Plains

Over 150 children and adults came out to celebrate Family Fun Day at the YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester. The Valentine’s Day Special event took place on Sun., Feb. 13, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the lower lounge.

With the help of great volunteers from the local middle and high schools, children got to enjoy arts and crafts projects, including designing their own valentine crowns, making colorful paper flowers, and coloring heart-shaped wings and ladybugs. Face painting was a great hit, and many children left with their cheeks painted with hearts, butterflies, and flowers.

Family Fun Day concluded with Brett Band for Kids playing a mix of classic songs “The Lion Sleep Tonight” and original songs from their “Brett Band for Kids!” collection. All attendees were able to enjoy a variety of sugar treats at our Early Education Bake Sale.
