Firefighters Battle Blaze In White Plains Multi-Family Home

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Firefighters fought a blaze Tuesday at a White Plains multi-family home, the cause of which is not yet known.

Mutual aid and EMS personnel, as well as the White Plains Fire Department, were at the scene on Hale Avenue for the fire which started around 8 a.m. Tuesday, News 12 reported.

Witnesses said some of the residents of the building had to jump from a second-story window.

There are reports that six people were taken to the hospital, News 12 reported.
