WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Voters in Westchester County will head to the polls by Tuesday, Nov. 4, for the 2025 general election.

Propositions:

NYS Proposition: Amendment to allow Olympic Sports Complex in Essex County on State Forest Preserve Land. Yes: authorizes new ski trails and related facilities in the Adirondack Forest Preserve. No: does not authorize this use.

Bedford Proposition: Whether the Town Of Bedford should establish an annual contribution for the operating budgets of the Bedford Hills Free Library, the Bedford Free Library and the Katonah Village Library totaling $2,628,845.00, to be divided between the three libraries as follows: $810,058.00 for the Bedford Hills Free Library, $766,999.00 for the Bedford Free Library and $1,051,788.00, for the Katonah Village Library.

Bronxville Proposition: Whether the date of the annual Bronxville Village election should be changed from the third Tuesday in March to the Tuesday after the first Monday in November each year. Yes means the election date will change to November, with present terms extending until November elections. No means the election will remain in March.

Pleasantville Proposition: Whether the General Village Election of the Village of Pleasantville should be held annually on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November (coinciding with the date of the general election) and whether the term of each current village officer should terminate at noon on the first Monday in December in the year in which the term would otherwise expire.

Ossining Proposition: "Shall the village board of the Village of Ossining establish a defined benefit service award program for active volunteer firefighter members of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department effective January 1, 2026, under which: firefighters shall be paid, generally beginning at age 65, monthly lifetime service awards of $20 for each year of credited volunteer firefighter service to the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department including credit for up to three years of Ossining Volunteer FIre Department Service prior to January 1, 2026 and After December 31, 2022; Payment of benefits shall benign as of January 1, 2017, as firefighters become eligible; active post age 65 volunteers may continue to earn service credit after attaining age 65 and beginning to be paid service awards; the estimated total annual taxpayer cost of the proposed program for current volunteers is $240,000 including an administration fee of about $8,000; the estimated annual cost per current volunteer is $2,308; the annual cost for current volunteers shall decrease by about $45,000 after the cost for granting program credit for service before 2026 has been paid?"


The early voting period coninues through Sunday, Nov. 2, during the following days and times:

  • Thursday, October 30, from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Friday, October 31, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m
  • Sunday, November 2, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The Westchester County Board of Elections is no longer an early voting center and has been replaced with the White Plains Public Library this year

Voting during early voting is the same as voting on Election Day. When you get to the early voting center, you will check in to vote, receive your ballot, and vote as in any other election.
